The Prince George’s County Police Department isinvestigating a fatal pedestrian collision in Bladensburg.
On November 12, 2012, at approximately 7:30 pm, policeofficers responded to the 3800 block of Kenilworth Avenue for a trafficaccident involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, officers found 46 year-old MaryKatherine Harding suffering from life threatening injuries. She was rushedto a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
The preliminary investigation reveals that Harding, of the2400 block of 57th Place in Bladensburg, attempted to cross Kenilworth Avenuewhen she was struck by two vehicles, a gold Chrysler 300M and a white NissanAltima. The pedestrian was not in a crosswalk. Both drivers remained onthe scene. At this time, it does not appear that speed or alcoholwere a factor on the part of the drivers.
