Membersof the Prince George’s County Police Department’s District IV Station aremourning the loss of a dear friend. Ms. Nancy Tufts passed away Sunday,September 16th, at her Tantallon home. She was 102 years old.
DistrictIV detectives first befriended Ms. Tufts early last summer while investigatinga rash of burglaries in the Fort Washington area. From that moment, severalPrince George’s County Police detectives began returning for visits and to helprestore the garden and property at her historic home. http://goo.gl/isojq
Thefamily of Ms. Tufts invited District IV police officers to serve aspallbearers, a gesture that symbolizes the endearing friendship and gratitudeshe had for the police department. She will be buried at St. John's Episcopal Church. Information for the memorial service is provided below.
