On September8th, 2012, the Prince George’s County Police Department held its firstHeroes Gala recognizing the 51 law enforcement officers who have lost theirlives in Prince George’s County. Twenty-seven of the fallen served thePrince George's County Police Department. The remaining 24 represented 12allied agencies at the local, state and federal levels. Hundreds attendedthe event at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in theNational Harbor. The fallen officers and their families are in ourthoughts. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.
